Santander at the UEFA Champions League Final

Santander were celebrating their first year as UEFA Champions League sponsor by putting on the ultimate VIP experience for lucky employees from all over the globe – 20 countries as far-reaching as Poland, Mexico and Argentina. The experience needed to provide the perfect backdrop to the final, seamlessly taking guests from pre-match excitement to post-match party, whilst also celebrating Santander’s involvement and honouring the host capital city – and so the mini-Madrid experience was born.

Working with Fuse, we sourced and produced the show from head-to-toe, ensuring a seamless match day. As guests entered through the Champions Village, they were led down the red carpet and given their unique invite-only wristband by hostesses, before pausing for photo ops with our one-off branded red lion and entering our show-stopping tent. The scene was set pre-match by recreating the dusky streets of the city with gentle up-lighting, drawing attention to the main stage for the event – an incredible replica of Madrid’s infamous Puerta de Alcalá – which was lit up in the bold Santander colours.

Guests took in the pre-match buzz with freshly prepared food and drinks from top chefs in the central hub, and relaxed in our lounge chill out zone ahead of the excitement of the game. And then came a very special moment for fans, as Brazilian football icon Ronaldo joined a local host on the main stage for an engaging Q&A. 

But the entertainment didn’t stop post-match. The mood was subtlety shifted to a night-time vibe with ambient blue lighting and branded gobos. The introduction of a DJ to continue the party coupled with branded fan giveaways, stage-managed by team Wonder, kept guests in the moment.
