Kipling's 'We Make Happy' Campaign

In collaboration with Amsterdam based agency First Day of Spring, WONDER was asked to help fashion brand Kipling launch its new global initiative #wemakehappy.

The aim of the campaign was to celebrate the people who make the world a beautiful place, and encouraged Londoners to share messages with the special people in their lives - to spread joy and celebrate relationships. Recipients of the messages were surprised with an invitation to pick up their message at a special event.

The activation took the form of a larger than life installation featuring over 200 vibrantly coloured balloons, covering a large section of London’s South Bank, next to the OXO Tower. Invited guests were given the opportunity to explore the installation to find their own #WeMakeHappy message. Passers by, attracted by the vibrant colour and sense of excitement were also encouraged to engage with the campaign and spread the #wemakehappy message.

The effectiveness of our design relied on detailed calculations and precise execution to ensure the overall aesthetic was dramatic and impactful. On the day around 100,000 people were talking about this activation on Social Media with further amplification post event.
